I find myself picking at small bits of however many in-progress posts. This is an attempt to just get something written down with less dancing around the words.
Watching
I’m rewatching Battlestar Galactica and knowing what comes ahead has made so many scenes richer. I have a memory from the last half of the final season where some parts of the plot begin to fall a little flat in comparison to the rest of the show, so it’d be good to actually see how that pans on years after that first watch.
I’ve also been slowly watching a documentary directed by Peter Watkins called Resan (The Journey). Despite only being about 13 hours long (shorter than most TV seasons), it has a depth to it that renders it difficult to sweep easily through. As a result of that depth this is my second attempt at watching. I had watched an earlier, shorter piece from Watkins called The War Game which was completely harrowing from the get go but brilliant.
Reading
Picking up momentum to read more often has been difficult but I’ve been able to return to in-progress books and abandon ones that were draining my interest. Those are Siddartha by Herman Hesse and Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert.
