Hello! I’m Niam, a physicist, climber and tinkerer. I’m a recent Physics PhD graduate. My doctoral work has involved working as part of the MicroBooNE collaboration measuring the cross-section for a rare antineutrino-argon interaction that produces hyperons and calibrating the charge-to-energy response of the Time Projection Chamber for new datasets. Some of my public academic notes are here.
My interests in physics span: neutrino-nucleus interactions, astro-particle physics (and multi-messenger astronomy) as well as the intersection of software development and physics.
I like music (making and listening), photography, Japanese woodblock printmaking, and creative programming.
